Rapp (Herta Silberman) family papers, 1933-1996.
Herta Silbermann Rapp fled Germany in 1939 with her first husband, Walter Fabian, and went to Bolivia. While in Bolivia, Herta met her second husband Martin Rapp. They married in 1946 and, together, immigrated to the United States in 1954.
The collection consists of the identity, immigration, and citizenship papers of Herta and Martin Rapp. Also contains an essay written by Herta entitled, “Description of my coming to Bolivia, South America.”
