Alumni and Parents Weekend at Homecoming is scheduled for September 23–25, 2022. Join us as we come together to celebrate the Cal community with three days of engagement with fellow Golden Bears, lectures and other learning opportunities, special tours, and much more.
This homecoming weekend discover one of the preeminent Jewish collections in the world, providing accessible resources to scholars, students, and visitors with its remarkably diverse archive, library, and museum holdings that include art, objects, texts, music, and historical documents about Jews in the Global Diaspora.
The Magnes Collection will be open for special viewing hours on Sunday, September 25th from 12noon-3pm.
Exhibitions and displays in our galleries include our newest exhibition In Twilight: Ori Sherman’s Creation and the Leo Baeck Institute Traveling Display, Shared History Project — 1700 Years of Jewish Life on German-speaking Lands, closing Sept 29, as well as Time Capsules. The Magnes: 10 Years at UC Berkeley, An Archive of Archives: Roman Vishniac’s Exhibition History | New York, 1971-72, and digital slide shows from the Roman Vishniac Archive.
